More and more New Zealanders are specifying acrylic plaster systems as the cladding of choice on their new homes. Producing a sophisticated look and the ability to be used with any architectural styles, acrylic plaster has become synonymous with homes of superior quality.

During the past few years however, solid and acrylic plaster systems have fallen into disrepute, with mounting reports of 'leaky homes' through the work of inexperienced applicators, poor design and building methods. Coupled with the realisation that most plaster systems will noticeably deteriorate over a five-year period, many homeowners are left with an uneasy feeling over the condition of their valuable investment.

David Robertson had been working in the painting and decorating industry for over 25 years and began to recognise that the issues that owners of plaster homes have in maintaining and protecting their investment are unique to their situation. These carefully tested products will often last twice as long as conventional acrylic plaster products, and can be applied in any colour. The weatherproof coatings that we use can be up to 20 times thicker than two coats of acrylic paint, providing a long-term barrier to UV rays and corrosive elements.
